Consul General and Access Students Supports the Start-up of a New Baseball Club

U.S. Consul General in Recife Richard Reiter and Public Affairs Officer Matt Keener attended the first game of Nautico baseball team at Aflitos stadium in Recife. In order to support Recife Baseball Association, which is trying to make the sport more popular in the region, 50 current Access students also watched the games.

The students are from the public high schools Santos Dumont, Cicero Dias, Inalda Spinelli, Fernando Mota and Polícia Militar. They sang “Take me out to the Ball Game” and were treated a hardy American stadium snack – hotdogs and fries.
