Consul General Helps Launch Westinghouse Latin America Office in Rio de Janeiro

Westinghouse-Rio-inauguration-engOn April 29, U.S. Consul General John Creamer delivered remarks at a reception celebrating the opening by Westinghouse of its office in Brazil with a cocktail reception at the Copacabana Palace Hotel.  From its new base in Rio, Westinghouse is hoping to capitalize on opportunities to contribute to safe and reliable nuclear power not just in Brazil, where currently only 1 percent of Brazil’s energy comes from nuclear power, but across Latin America.  Consulate General Rio’s Foreign Commercial Service assisted in organizing the event and in arranging meetings for visiting Westinghouse VIPs with potential local partners.
