A group of 12 professionals from Pernambuco made up of alumni from professional exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Consulate General in Recife met on September 30 for dinner with the Recife Consul General, Richard Reiter. “Alumni” means more than having participated in these prestigious exchange programs. It means they now belong to a network of people who invest their time and energy in bilateral relations between our two countries, exchanging experiences and uniting efforts in both professional and institutional realms.
The Consulate is proud of its partnership with these professional who increasingly stand out in their fields, and yesterday’s group represented a broad array of sectors – journalism and communications, education, economic development, community development, child and youth services, preventing violence against women, and human rights.
