The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows citizens of participating countries* to travel to the United States without a visa for stays of 90 days or less, when they meet all requirements.
São Paulo, August 24, 2017 – US Consul General in São Paulo, Ricardo Zuniga, attended the opening ceremony of the EducationUSA Fair, in São Paulo. Thirty-five American universities participated in the event, which attracted more than 1,300 visitors.

“Having more Brazilian students in the US will strengthen the relationship between the two countries and prepare the next generation of Brazil’s leaders for the challenges they will face in an increasingly globalized world,” said Ricardo Zuniga during the event.
The annual fair provided information on admission processes and requirements, costs and funding options including scholarships. Participants spoke with US university representatives responsible for student admissions. In addition, visitors attended lectures on the US educational system, undergraduate and graduate admission procedures, financial aid, exams required to enter a US institution, and procedures for obtaining a student visa.
