Power4Girls – Empower to Lead! aims to find creative solutions to problems related to accessibility and social inclusion
Brasilia, September 29, 2023: The Embassy and Consulates of the United States in Brazil invite the press to cover the closing event of the Power4Girls Program – Empower to Lead 2023, on October 6, at SESI Lab, in Brasilia. Between April and September, eighty students from the Federal Education, Science and Technology Network institutions across the country had the opportunity to take part in workshops, lectures, webinars and interactive online activities. During the event in Brasilia, the participants will present prototypes of their projects, receive certificates of participation and make a final pitch at an innovation event. The three best projects will be awarded prizes. The theme of this year’s initiative was “Accessibility and Social Inclusion”.

About SESI Lab:
The iconic building designed by Oscar Niemeyer at the time of the construction of Brasília, has since November 2022 become a stronghold of art, science, technology and education for all ages. The space is an initiative of the Social Service for Industry (SESI), in partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), and promotes the connection between artistic, scientific and technological actions, in collaboration with industry and society.
The project is being implemented with the technical assistance of the Exploratorium, one of the world’s leading interactive centers with over 40 years’ experience, located in San Francisco (USA). The location chosen, right in the heart of the country’s capital, is directly related to the aim of being a hub for the democratic dissemination of knowledge to all Brazilian regions.
