Colleen A. Hoey is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service and assumed duties as Deputy Chief of Mission for Mission Brazil in August 2023. Prior to her assignment in Brazil, Ms. Hoey has served at U.S. diplomatic missions in Venezuela, Guyana, Colombia, Paraguay, and Honduras. Ms. Hoey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University and a Master’s Degree in Government from Georgetown University. She also has a Master’s Degree in National Security and Resource Management from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University.
