Film Showcase Honors 247th Anniversary of Porto Alegre

U.S. Consulate and Cinemateca Capitólio will screen feature films and documentaries in free sessions from March 26 to April 2

Porto Alegre celebrates its anniversary on March 26 and the U.S. Consulate decided to honor the city and its residents with a free showcase of films at the most iconic movie theater of Porto Alegre, the Cinemateca Capitólio. Five feature films highlight the importance of STEM education and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing. Other two productions, “Say Amen, Somebody” and “Ornette: Made in America,” discuss the Afro-American culture through spirituality and music. To watch the films, just arrive 30 minutes before each session and get a passwcode at the Cinemateca’s ticket booth (subject to seat availability). See the full program below:
