Event: Commercial Flight Update
As of April 13, U.S. bound flights from Brazil will decrease to 9 per week. LATAM has announced it will suspend its remaining Sao Paulo to Miami route from April 13-30; the route’s last northbound departure is April 11.
The current remaining U.S. bound flights depart from Sao Paulo (GRU) or Campinas (VCP) and are operated by the following airlines: United Airlines with daily service to Houston and Azul with one flight per week to Fort Lauderdale and one flight per week to Orlando. These flights are subject to change and may decrease over the next few weeks. Please contact your airline with questions regarding your flight reservation.
U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States should make commercial flight arrangements as soon as possible unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. The U.S. government does not currently anticipate arranging repatriation flights in Brazil.

- Check with your airlines or cruise lines regarding any updated information about your travel plans and/or restrictions.
- Visit the COVID-19 crisis page on travel.state.govfor the latest information regarding foreign countries’ quarantine requirements and other global impacts.
- Visit the Department of Homeland Security’s websiteon the latest travel restrictions affecting travel to the U.S.
- Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program(STEP) to receive Alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
