Location: Wenceslau Guimarães in Bahia State
Event:  Brazilian public health officials have reported an outbreak of locally-transmitted malaria in the town of Wenceslau Guimarães in Bahia State. Accordingly, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have issued a Level 2 alert for malaria.
