Subject: Launch of Mail-in Adult Passport Renewals
The Department of State is pleased to announce that the U.S. Mission to Brazil is now allowing payment of DS-82 passport renewal fees online, removing the need to travel to a U.S. Embassy, Consulate, or Agency to process routine passport renewals.
As of March 27, 2022, citizens renewing their passports should visit our website to determine their eligibility to use the online payment option. If eligible, applicants can submit payment via U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or PayPal. Eligible applicants will also receive instructions on how to mail in their application.
