Message to U.S. Citizens: U.S. Consular Officer Visiting Salvador, Bahia, on December 5-6, 2023, to provide limited services to U.S. Citizens.

Location: Salvador, Bahia

A consular officer from the U.S. Consulate in Rio de Janeiro will be in Salvador, Bahia, on Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6, 2023. They will be available to meet with U.S. citizens to accept most U.S. passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) applications and to provide notarial services.

NOTE: The officer will not accept adult passport renewal applications. Instead, you must mail these applications to the U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro. For additional information about adult passport renewal, please consult the U.S. Mission in Brazil website.

To schedule an appointment, by December 1st at 5:00 pm please send an email to SalvadorACS@state.gov with:

– IN THE SUBJECT LINE: Your name and the service you are requesting;
– The age and full name of all persons seeking services;
– The type of service(s) required for each person, e.g., First Adult Passport;
– Your telephone with area code (DDD).

Appointments are required. We will confirm your appointment in an email that includes the appointment time and location.
