Notice on Silver Shadow cruise ship

We are continuing to work actively with local Brazilian authorities, our United States government partners, and Silversea Cruises and its parent company Royal Caribbean, to facilitate the return of all U.S. citizen passengers aboard the Silver Shadow to the United States.

We established direct communication with U.S. citizens aboard the Silver Shadow shortly after their arrival in Recife, and sent messages through the Silversea Cruises parent company, Royal Caribbean, to be distributed to all U.S. citizens aboard the ship, informing them that we are working with local authorities, Royal Caribbean, and U.S. government agencies to facilitate their safe return to the United States.  We are continuing with daily communications and appropriate consular assistance to all U.S. citizens aboard the Silver Shadow.  Individuals concerned about a U.S. citizen passenger may contact the U.S. Consulate General in Recife at RecifeACS@state.gov .

Notice on Silver Shadow cruise ship

The U.S. Consulate General Recife is monitoring the situation with the Silversea Cruises Silver Shadow cruise ship and is in contact with Brazilian authorities regarding the well-being and safety of U.S. passengers.  If you are concerned about a U.S. citizen on the ship, you may contact the consulate at RecifeACS@state.gov.  Please include the passenger’s name, date of birth (day/month/year), passport number (if available), cell phone number, and email in your response.
