Brasilia, April 3, 2020: The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil invites journalists to participate in the first online press availability, on April 6 at 9:00am (Brasilia Time), with Ambassador Todd Chapman. During the press availability, Ambassador Chapman will highlight his priorities as ambassador to Brazil, perspectives of the U.S.-Brazil bilateral relationship and actions of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates to address the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The ambassador will answer questions, sent in advance, during the press conference.
The online press availability is open to all media outlets, but the Embassy makes a special invitation to journalists covering international affairs. Space is limited. Each outlet can register only one journalist.
Service:
- Interested Media outlets must send an email to BrasiliaEMBEUA@state.gov by April 3, at 17:00 (Brasilia time), with the name of the selected journalist, name of the vehicle he represents and questions for the ambassador.
- Journalists will receive a confirmation email with the link and access password to the online press availability on April 5.
- The transmission will be held in Portuguese, via Zoom webinar, starting at 9:00 am (Brasilia time).
