Clinton Curtis Band will play in Vitória e Vila Velha
Rio de Janeiro, June 24, 2014 – The US Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro is taking to Vitória and Vila Velha The Clinton Curtis Band, a group who plays classic American songs as well as their own compositions. The set list is based on traditional rhythms such as gospel, blues, rhythm and blues, soul, country, folk, rock and reggae. The band has been traveling the world performing, doing workshops and, thus, strenghening the relationships between different cultures through musical exchange.
On its first visit to Brazil, the Clinton Curtis Band will be in Espírito Santo between June 25 and 29. All the performances are free.
On Wednesday, June 25, 7:00 PM, the group will perform at the Shopping Praia da Costa, in Vila Velha. On Thursday, June 26, the band will be in Vitoria where it will perform and take part on the talk show “The influence of afro music on Brazilian and American rhythms”, at the Museu Capixaba do Negro (MUCANE). On Saturday, June 28, they will participate on the Cultural Festival at the Parque Municipal Pedra da Cebola, also in Vitória, where they will perform at 8:00 PM.
