Public high school students are selected for the Power4Girls program

The program aims at empowering girls through strategies focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and leadership

Brasília, March 16, 2023: Eighty high school students from public schools all over Brazil were selected to participate, between April and September 2023, in the Power4Girls – Empower to Lead! program. The program, an initiative of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, aims at empowering girls through strategies focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and leadership.

During the program period, divided into teams of four students, a professor, and a mentor, the students will participate in workshops, lectures, webinars, interactive online activities, and delve into the topics of leadership, female empowerment, and entrepreneurship through creativity, innovation and project development and management.

The conclusion of the program will be in Brasilia, where the participants will have the opportunity to present their projects, receive their participation certificates, and make a final pitch at an innovation fair. The three best projects will receive awards.
