Ambassador Michael McKinley inaugurated the EducationUSA office at ICBEU (Brazil-United States Cultural Institute) in Belo Horizonte on March 7, 2018. Open to the public, the office provides free advising services to anyone seeking to study in the United States for undergraduate studies, graduate studies, or English-language coursework. This is the third EducationUSA office in the state of Minas Gerais; current offices are located on the PUC-Minas campus and at the BNC in Uberaba. The new Belo Horizonte office is located at Rua da Bahia, 1723 – Lourdes. The photo shows Regional Education Advising Coordinator for the Southern Cone, Rita Moriconi, with Ambassador McKinley. The inauguration was also attended by American Presence Officer in Belo Horizonte Rita Rico; ICBEU board president Jorge Luiz Carvalho Brandão, and Vice-Mayor Paulo Lamac.
