Between the 15th and 18th of September, the United States had an exclusive pavilion at Rio Oil & Gas 2014, a major trade show taking place in Riocentro.

Under the coordination of the U.S. Department of Commerce, 41 U.S. companies filled pavilion 3 of the fair, demonstrating the United States’ interest on Brazil’s growing and resourceful oil & gas sector. The U.S. pavilion was opened on Monday September 15th by both the U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, Liliana Ayalde, and the U.S. Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, John Creamer. Ambassador Ayalde commented that Brazil’s “long-standing friendly relations with the U.S.” continue to make Brazil “an important partner for U.S. companies seeking long-term partnerships.”
