U.S. and Brazilian Navies Join Forces in Community Relations Work

Military from both nations will be today at Rio de Janeiro public school

USS America (LHA6) crewmembers and military from the Brazilian Navy will be together today doing community services at the United States Municipal Public School in Catumbi, in northern Rio de Janeiro.

The community relations work is a U.S. Navy tradition, and today, Brazilian and U.S. sailormen will be painting walls and installing bookshelves at the school.

No prior registration is required to cover the activity.

What:
Community relations activities by Brazilian and U.S. sailormen at the United States Municipal School in Catumbi, Rio de Janeiro.
