The U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro launched their new page on Facebook today. The purpose of the page is starting a new channel of dialogue with its consular district, the states of Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Espírito Santo. The U.S. Consulate General page on Facebook will highlight events, educational and cultural programs promoted and supported by the U.S. Government.
It will further promote the partnerships between the two countries and the friendship between the American and the Brazilian peoples.
“We want to talk about opportunities for Brazilian students in the United States, information on tourism, exchanges, English learning and other subjects. We want that our page in this social network to be a space for Americans and Brazilians to exchange ideas”, said the U.S. Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, John S. Creamer.
