SelectUSA RS event takes place on March 4, open to the public and requiring prior registration
Porto Alegre, February 26, 2021 – The internationalization of Rio Grande do Sul companies in 4.0, ICT and manufacturing industry sectors is the main topic of the SelectUSA RS webinar, promoted by the U.S. Department of Commerce in partnership with the U.S. Consulate General in Porto Alegre. The seminar, virtual and free, takes place on Thursday, March 4, at 2:00 PM and will have the participation of the U.S. Consul General in Porto Alegre, Shane Christensen, and high-level representatives of Rio Grande do Sul’s state government.
Interested parties will receive information to join the webinar by e-mail after registering at https://live.eventtia.com/en/susabr-sul.
Rio Grande do Sul has the second highest number of Brazilian companies with operations in the North American market and is therefore one of the regions chosen to host the SelectUSA seminar this year. During the virtual event, RS companies will be invited to participate in the SelectUSA 2021 Investment Summit, which will take place remotely on June 7-11.
SelectUSA is a U.S. federal government program to assist foreign companies in developing strategies to invest in the U.S. market. In Brazil, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates have been promoting it since 2014. In 2020, more than 800 Brazilian companies showed interest in opening subsidiaries on U.S. soil and received SelectUSA assistance.
