Event brings inclusive programming through STEAM workshops in more than 24 cities
Brasilia, September 27, 2023: The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, in partnership with the American Spaces across the country, are promoting Maker Day Brazil 2023 on September 30. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in 24 cities, offering a diverse program of lectures, workshops and hands-on activities.
Maker Day Brasil is an annual event that celebrates maker culture and encourages innovation, creativity and collaboration between people of all ages and backgrounds. This year’s edition, entitled DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility), reflects the dedication to promoting an environment where everyone has equal opportunities to create, innovate and grow.
“In a world that is constantly evolving, it is essential that we strive to promote an environment where the DEIA concept is not just an acronym. Diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility ensure that everyone can develop their potential as an integral part of society and without discrimination,” says Sylvie Young, Director of the American Spaces Program for Brazil and Paraguay.
