U.S. seeks ten emerging leaders from northern Brazil – registration open until December 10

Promoting positive social change through the Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute

 

The Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute opens registration, on Monday, November 1, for the Atlas Corps: Brazil Northern States Emerging Leaders Initiative, that seeks to engage 10 emerging social impact leaders in the Northern Region of Brazil. To apply, applicants must be between 22 and 35 years old, with two to 10 years of work experience, a university degree, proficient in English and live in the states of Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima or Tocantins. Applicants can register at the Atlas Corps website (click here) until December 10.

The program, offered in partnership with the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, will offer 100 hours of online leadership training by U.S. professionals specializing in developing future leaders. The training will also include lectures, cultural exchanges, and interactive workshops in an international environment.

The curriculum of the Virtual Leadership Institute is structured in five modules: Guidance, Self-Development, Developing Others, Leading Movements and Reflection. This online program includes speakers, interactive workshops, standalone activities, group discussions, and community development activities with the participation of some of the leading U.S. organizations and leaders.

Participants work with each other and with peers around the world.

The event will focus on the implementation of leadership projects that promote economic inclusion and empowerment of women and minorities and spread democratic values in Brazil. Those selected will also work on an individual project for their own professional development and/ to make a positive social impact in their communities.
