Brasília, November 14, 2022: The United States Embassy and Consulates in Brazil are pleased to open a call for proposals for the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) – an initiative that provides financial support for the preservation of cultural heritage and history. Brazilian partners have received funding for over 750,000 dollars in the past years, unequivocally demonstrating U.S. respect and appreciation for Brazilian culture and history. Proposals for the current cycle must be submitted no later than December 20.
Around the world, the AFCP sends a clear signal of U.S. respect for other cultures and history by funding and promoting activities that preserve spaces or objects with historical or cultural significance. Project selection will prioritize activities that follow international norms of cultural heritage preservation. The selected proposals may receive funding of up to $500,000.
