The largest foreign direct investment event in the USA
The US ambassador in Brazil, Liliana Ayalde, is to lead a delegation of 50 Brazilian businesspeople from various segments at the largest foreign direct investment event in the USA, the SelectUSA Summit 2016, to be held from June 19 to 21, in Washington DC. This year’s event, entitled “The Innovation Advantage,” will highlight the benefits that the environment of innovation offers communities and businesses of all sizes.
The event is sponsored by the Department of Commerce and will be attended by high-ranking US government officials. President Barack Obama will officially open it and will stress his administration’s commitment to attracting new investment and promoting job creation in the USA. Investors from around the world will have the opportunity to hear first-hand about the best investment opportunities in the country.
“We are happy to see a strong Brazilian representation at the SelectUSA Summit 2016.Brazil is the second-largest economy in the hemisphere and foreign direct investment by Brazilian companies in the USA continues to grow. We will continue to develop our collaboration in trade, investment and innovation, “said Ambassador Ayalde.
Leading companies from around the world, including: Xerox, L’Oreal, Ikea, and Toto, have already confirmed they will attend. The Brazilian delegation will also be represented by large companies, including: Apex Brasil, The Post Office, Embraer, Fras-le, Oxiteno and Sorridents.
